Now I know whut them quiet spells was when we were goin' to the ranch.
He was ponderin'' on how to make those good lookin' shootin' irons.

Yeah, I kinda stretched that piece of hide...Ten or fifteen years ago.
Now ol Iggy, I wouldn't tell this to jest anyone...I've probably drove more miles in my sleep,
that most folks will travel in a life time.

Now I can sur relate ta that. Back when we usta furnish our own cars at the SO, I had me a 4dr white ford that was 'house broke'. I could point 'er toward the house from anywhere in my 500sq mi area of responsibility and she'd get me there. Wish I'da had me one of them nikkle pistolas back then.

If we hadn't drove Dave's rig to the ranch instead of mine I coulda slept all the way home. My PU knows the way.
I don't know as I ever went to sleep while drivin' but I sure knowed some strategic spots where I could pull off on a high point along side the road, turn on the radar, stick a clip board in the back of my jacket, zip her up snug, and "patrol the dickens out of that stretch of highway" for a while.

Y'all know this ain't the ol man's first rodeo...I's been practicin up for this'n!
Built this one back in the winter, when I had a bout with cabin fever,
45 Long Colt & 45 ACP on a Pre-27
And another one in the spring, jest round bout break up,
Used a 27-2 frame for this'n,
Both are three inchers.

Yep and thems the two that got me started with puttin a 3" barrel on my ol '17........
