CC in a wheel chair, any idea?

I have had an early version of the Desantis Gunnysack for almost 30 years. Haven't used it much in last 25 but it has been very durable, came with 2 different sized holsters that were velcro'd in what ever position you could imagine within the firearm compartment. Pack also had 2 smaller exterior zippered pockets for misc other items that were completely separate from the main compartment. It was a compromise method of carry that was slower to access than IWB or OWB depending on the type of covering garment that was worn. I did utilize the pack quite a bit while rehabing after back surgery while wearing a brace.

I prefer a conceal carry vest

If a cover garment is the only problem, get a stylish vest. I have several in different colors and styles and wear them almost 100% of the time when my wife and I go out. Mine are known as "travel vests" as they have numerous extra pockets (but the pockets are mostly hidden so it's doesn't look like a tactical vest). I wear them going grocery shopping, going out to eat, a wedding, etc.

Note I said "stylish". Not a hunting or outdoor type vest.

I live in Vegas where 8 months out of the year we have 80-110 degree weather, and my lightweight styles are no problem in the heat and nobody gawks at me (not that I care).

You also have the benefit of a lot of extra pockets.

No. The ones I pictured and have purchased are NOT dedicated concealed carry vests. They are simply ordinary everyday vests which can be purchased in the $20-$75 range. They simply act as a cover garment (with the added benefit of extra pockets) which is what the OP said he needed in his opening post;

"Shoulder holster works if I have a jacket on but that ain't good all the time."

A vest is essentially a jacket without the sleeves. And a lightweight/featherweight vest is even comfortable and draws no unwanted attention in 100+ degree weather.

You wear sweatpants..try a Smart Carry. A Jframe literally disappears..and with a little practice leaving the butt above the front of the waistline allows quick access, would be very comfortable in sweats. I've carried for years with one in very unlikely places using one of these Smart Carry rigs. My daily setup is a Jframe in my front jeans pocket, and when seated I slightly lift the revolver out of the pocket for quick access when in a car, and when I stand up it slips back into the holster all on its own, I wear t-shirts and jeans and it is hidden even seated with the butt out of the pocket. So those are my two daily options for ya.

As a prior LE when Ohio first started CCW, a fanny pack screamed gun. However now you see fewer and fewer of them in use EXCEPT for those folks in wheel chairs who cannot sit on wallets all day or easily access items in their pockets. Also there are numerous medical devices in use today that require on the body carry. Fix a short piece of medical tubing to come out of the pack and insert it into your waistband. Believe me, NO ONE will give you a second look or ask any questions for fear of offending. Use that camouflage to your advantage. I believe a properly designed firearm fanny pack would make perfect sense in your case. It could readily rest directly in your lap and still provide concealment and security to your firearm.

This sounds like a great idea.

Outside of carrying a small enough firearm that'll fit
in a shirt-pocket, you might consider a Gould & Goodrich
bellyband holster. It can be worn around your belly, or,
you can put it up so it's just under your armpits. Since it
resembles an ACE bandage, you can pick where to wear it.
I've always used it like a shoulder holster, and access is
with the top button or two open on my shirt. A few tries
will show how tight, and how far forward or rearward you put
your firearm. Never had a gun fall out, and you can carry
pistol or revolver.
Hope this helps, TACC1.
