I usually wear a dress shirt and pants to work, so beside pocket carry, I cannot do ankle carry. All the iwb holsters seem to show the weapon. Any other options? Thanks

What size gun are you talking about?

Also, what kind of dress shirts do you wear? White, light fabric shirts aren't going to give you many options, but if you can get away with darker colored shirts of heavier fabric that will help.

As for holster options, here are the ones I could think of, but I don't have any experience with them. I mostly carry IWB with the rare pocket carry.

There's the belly band and similar holsters. Kangaroo Holsters comes to mind.

Some companies make holster shirts. Kramer Handgun Leather comes to mind, but I don't know if they still make them.

Some models of shoulder holsters may work, worn under your dress shirt. Ken Null comes to mind.

Smart Carry is another option.

Tuckable IWB may be an option, especially ones that mount to the belt with a velcro clip.

Pocket carry with dress pants works just fine for me. Perfect setup is a S&W J-frame or Ruger LCR in a pocket holster in front pants pocket. No one has ever noticed me carrying.

^^^ I agree with the LCR or S&W J frame equivalent for front pocket carry. I have yet to have someone notice my LCR 357 in my front pocket. IMO it is the most comfortable way to CC.

More information is definitely needed. I have multiple IWB holsters and all do the trick in the right conditions. I have a simple kydex with leather loop and its perfect for carrying if you don't tuck your shirt in. I also have a crossbreed supertuck and its perfect for tucking your shirt in. Alien gear holsters are very similar and just as nice.
Clothing is also a question. Dark clothing as stated hides bulges better. Also certain patterns will show a print more than others.
More information please :)

Sport jacket or Blazer?

Undershirt with a quality Bahama style shirt works well if the situation allows. Nice lite blazer is great and is professional looking. I have some dress vests that are long that do not look like tactical stuff. Looking professional costs a little more but it is worth it if you are carrying at work. Not looking tactical gives you an advantage.

A light vest. 5.11 and others make vests for concealment purposes.

I can think of three options. Assuming you are carrying a J frame or small auto loader pocket carry. For my 2 ½” K frames I wear a T-shirt, shoulder holster, then outer shirt. For any frame size, IWB, position gun and holster were you wish, after you tuck your shirt in just blouse part of the shirt over the portion of your gun that rides above your belt.

These days few men wear suits or sports jackets on a regular basis and that is why Pocket Carry has become so popular. The old Photographers vest, fanny pack, phone case on steroids, etc. is a sure give-a-way to people in the know and I would feel like a Dufuss anyway.

I do not buy into the "dress around the gun" theory! Anyone astute enough and who observes can pick the "dress around the gun guys" right out. I will not carry a gun that I need to dress different than normal or different than the weather requires. Wearing a Photographers vest in the Mall in July might not look normal - ya think?

I do pocket carry at least half the time and belt carry the other times when my attire or surroundings dictate I can without standing out like a sore thumb. When I am in the Woods or on private property where legal, concealment becomes a non-issue.

A M60 (or similar) , Colt Dick Spl. or reliable pocket pistol would seem to fit the bill for most if us. Bear Country = .357 or .44 Magnums but concealing is not an issue.

Not sure what you were telling us about ankle carry. That is certainly an easy way to conceal, and a good location for the office and car, but near useless for the street.

Pocket carry depends, surprisingly enough, on the pocket, and on whether the pants are form-fitting or not. There are plenty of pants that will easily conceal a J-frame revolver.

A tuckable IWB works for some folks. I once visited Mitch Rosen's place and his brother-in-law was there. I knew he was wearing one, and I knew where, and I still couldn't see it! That said, some find it uncomfortable. I know I do.

Obviously, a blazer would take care of everything, but you'd have to live with never taking it off.

IMO, pants with deep pockets are the best answer.

Kinda how I look at it. I'm not sure if I actually dress around the gun but it is a factor, even though a small one. I don't like anything about pocket carry so my only mode of carry is IWB. with that weather is not a factor. I don't need to go bigger or smaller gun in different seasons. However, when clothes shopping jeans are always tried on with the holster and I'm mindful of printing when buying shirts. If the shirt feels good but a little tight around the waist with a gun I'll either go one size up or avoid that manufacturer. I've occasionally carried different guns but my smallest and also my main carry is a Glock 19

As mentioned already, light weight material ad light colors don't work with IWB. Also, form-fit shirts are out.
'Blousing' a shirt (opposite of a snug tuck) helps. Blousing, along with a tuckable holster, Dark Colored Shirt (and even a print shirt, to camouflage the edges of the grip) should allow you to successfully conceal almost anything.

I have a number of presentable square-hemmed shirts that are appropriate for office-wear, but cover an OWB rig quite well. I often wear them with a tee in a coordinating color with the cover shirt unbuttoned. A couple of fishing weights sewn into the bottom of the shirt's plackets keeps the shirt tails from blowing in the wind and your piece remains accessible, but well-concealed. Again; dark colors work best. It works great with IWB, too.

When I have to move from my normal jeans & tee shirt into dress slacks the M&P .380 goes into my pocket. The little J frame tends to make the dress pants sag obviously on one side and the .380 solves that.

I ankle carried for about 5 or 6 years back in the 80's but when I discovered pocket carry the ankle holster was retired pretty quickly. Once in a while I do carry IWB but now that I have put on a few lbs and refuse to buy larger size pants (always trying to loose a few lbs.) it's not that comfortable anymore.

I will shout out this hint though..... For anyone who does pocket carry, LL BEAN relaxed fit Jeans for some reason or other have the largest and deepest front pockets of any brand I know if. Not only are they great for pocket carry, but they are very well made, comfortable and last a long long time.
