Hi guys/ladies. I just applied for my CCW here in Iowa. They were very courteous and professional. I have to take the 4 hr CCW class and show competence shooting my gun afterwards. Its a 469. I wish I would have done this years ago. I have a underarm holster(with straps that go around each shoulder) that I got with the gun. I have a question though. The gun is under my left armpit area, and most of how it fits is self explanatory, but there is a strap that looks as if it could go across the front or around my back. Around the back would make the holster completely hidden with a jacket opened up, but it pulls the gun so far under my arm that it would be very difficult to access. Now putting the strap around the front, makes the gun more accessable but then you can see the strap with an open jacket. Any info would be helpful. This site is excellent also! Lot of great information here.

I also got a Bianchi Scorpio #13 with it too. I can see that it has a provision for a belt, but what are the two rings on it for?? Thanks again..

Sorry for so many questions.

Ok, I am a moron. Its an Uncle Mikes sidekick. The straps go straight down around your belt..

Answered my own question.

If you look at both sides of the holster, you will notice there is velco adjustment "every where". So it's very adjustable for a custom fit and you can also adjust how the gun sits under your armpit,front-back,up & down. Same for the ammo pouch side. The only problem I found was their "cheepo" snaps. I replaced mine with heavier duty ones. You can find them at a shoe repair shop (you'll need a tool if you do it yourself),but the repair person should be glad to do it for you fairly cheep.

On a side note. Watch your pouch strap when reholstering the weapon so it DOESN'T accidently go through the trigger and press against the trigger.

Also, since you are from Iowa and are getting a CCW (PTC),you might check out IowaCarry.org. It's a great place to find out and answer any questions. Plus there is tons of info.

Stay Safe
