Anyone researched the differences? Similar cost vs. coverage. To me its kind of confusing.

My wife and I have Second Call Defense. We have the mid tier plan. It seemed like the best option for the money. The base plan seemed like it was just there to have an entry level option that almost no one would take.

The NFA plan is provided and administered by an insurance company and so has numerous terms and conditions many of which are all the reasons they might not cover your claim or deny coverage. If you are considerering it you must read the policy. It exposes just how deceiving the advertising is.

CCW is provided and administered by the same business not an insurance company and is a contracted agreement with very clear terms and conditions and no loopholes. Whe you examines the contract you see just how much the insures ce company plans are inferior.

I agonized for almost 2 years comparing all the plans available in my state and joined CCW Safe. The main reason was they provide attorneys at NO cost and cover other expenses as they happen at NO cost to you(along with many other benefits). The first and foremost cost is upfront payment to a criminal lawyer and bail money(Most people don’t have nor can get/afford the approximate $25,000 upfront money needed for above items). The link given in another post gives a great comparison, or go to the CCW Safe site. Another issue with some of the other insurances is they only pay limited services or after(If you go to court) and are found innocent. Good luck in your research. Just one mans oppinion.
