I think that when Fruit of the Loom bought out Russell, then then directed Russell to make their fit the same as Fruit of the Loom. The cut is decided by management. The assembly in China, Siri Lanka, Viet Nam, etc. has to do with the build quality, which was the issue.

The washing is always a good idea. To keep the rat poplulation and insect population down in those factories they amply apply various poisons, most of which would be illegal in the USA. Any garment that touches the skin should be washed or dry cleaned prior to wearing.

And also of great importance: Never throw out a clean garment. Only dispose of dirty ones. If you accidently put a worn out garment in the clothes hamper and it gets laundered, they you are obligated to wear it one more time.

Agree on Duluth longtails I'm a large guy and they fit well. Cut a little bigger and longer in body. It's nice to have some room to move. They will cover a small handgun on the belt without printing.
