CCW win in Jersey

Wow, still not good enough. Death threats and still no permit? Yet all those judges are free to carry.

With all due respect to NJ law enforcement and citizens. The people's Republic of New Jersey is totally screwed up. Weused to have a few cases every couple of years in NYC, where before out of State Cops were cc, they would get into shoot outs defending themselves. The DA's in NYC always refused to prosecute the officer, when the shooting was legit.

A few years ago a retired NYC Cop (who shouldnt have been carrying, just like the jersey Cops in NYC) was carjacked, at gunpoint, the perp fired at the retired PO. The retired PO fired back. The NYC Cop was PROSECUTED.

Until the LEOSAHR218 was revised to lift any constraints on ammo, even a retired NJ Cop could not have hollow points. Until recently an out of State retired PO could not get a ccl. I think they just allowed it to glom fees for a license that you do not really need if you carry under the LEOSA. Since the LEOSA came into effect the Republic figured they could glom a fee

NYC is not much better, a PA "Constable" carried in NYC. NYC Cops were apparently ignorant of the fact that this Construction worker/ PA Constable was legitimately an LEO. He was arrested, tried and found NOT GUILTY,under the LEOSA.

Then NYC Mayor Bloomturd sends NYC Cops to Arizona, to see if they can illicitly buy guns. ***?

I live in VA which is very pro gun, but I have cringed reading newspaper story's where VA Cops get involved in a shooting,it becomes controversial due to the media and the Cop's get convicted. The numerous stories I have read on VA Cops shootings, after examining details I realized that if this happened in NYC of all places, it would have been termed a "Good" shooting.

It's a start :), maybe they'll let me carry while passing thru.

SAF Press Release :: NJ JUDGE ISSUES PERMIT TO PLAINTIFF IN SAF LAWSUIT

Good news considering where it came from. I would have guessed the judge would not only have held the same position as the lower court and deny the applicant's plea, I wouldn't have been too surprised if he had thrown the applicant in jail for daring to apply for a permit. We're talking about NJ after all, one of the 2 or 3 most anti-gun states in the Union.

By the way, NJ governor Christie who is being urged to run for the GOP presidential nomination recently said that he supports all NJ gun laws. That automatically disqualifies him to be the GOP nominee in my book no matter how conservative he may be on other issues. If Obama is re-elected at least we'll know who our worst enemy is, instead of a chameleon who claims to be conservative but supports NJ's unconstitutional Nazi gun laws.

You know that ex prosecutor turned politicians are(Giuliani), total low lives. If people elect Obama again, and I think they will, just wait to see what happens when he can do whatever he wants, knowing he doesnt have to run for office again. Sadly, I think this Country will rapidly go down the tubes. You think it is bad now? Just wait.

CCW in NJ, don't hold your breath, by the way the judge didn't issue the CCW, only reversed the lower courts decision to allow the issuance of the FID card.

I used to live across the river in PA, and every one had a ccw, I got my first in 1977, very reasonable , no outrageous fees or unrelated hoops to jump through, I went into culture shock when I moved to MI and they did not have shall issue at that time. I agree bloomberg should be in JAIL!!! You go out to other states and try to buy guns illegaly and see how long that lasts?? I can not understand how he can get away with it, I wish the states where he went filed charges as well as ATF!! Too long they have made up their own rules. Be Safe

Actually the article linked stated the Judge WOULD issue the permit.

However just as the Judge reversed a lower court decision, another Judge can reverse this one. Not all Judges agree on the written law.

I use to live in New Jersey. The only person I knew to have a CCW was politically connected. The huddled masses were out of luck. I don't see things changing any time soon.

I'm glad to live in Pennsylvania.
