We have been very fortunate in our lives. Fell in love at the ages of 15 and 16. Got married at the ages of 18 and 19 while I was in the Navy during WW2. Always managed, without much problem to work out any disagreements that we had, even such things as me buying guns that she didn't think I needed. From the practical view she was right about that.

She has been my best friend and until she had a stroke in 1996 she was the best fishing partner a person could have. Her ability to set the hook when fishing for bass with plastic baits was sometimes disgusting. She had the touch.

Anyhow, we enjoy life and each other and hope to continue doing so.
Going out to a steakhouse with friends tonght. The only problem is, because of partials and other tooth substitutes we will be eating chopped sirloin instead of the real thing.

Cangratulations is really quite inadequate. You both are honored for your committment and love. May God continue to bless you for many years to come.

Way to go. Enjoy the night.
My parents are going for 65 this year. My Great grandparents went to 70 years. Many memories of them are "walking" to the river or a pond to go fishing. Fishing together is a wonderful thing in a marriage.
And tonight is the 29th anniversary of the night my wife and I met at church. Bought her a new ring this summer and she bought me a new gun. Love is a wonderful thing.

Happy 66th, and may you have many more! It seems to be rare if a marriage lasts 6 years nowadays, let alone 66! Congrats!

She sounds like a "keeper"--you'd be well advised to take good care of her!

Seriously, congratulations! Joyce and I are exactly halfway to your wonderful milestone!

WOW!! and congrats. They don't seem to build marriages like that any more. My wife and I feel accomplished heading into 16yrs, but even that seems to be "a long time" by today's standards.
Congrats and enjoy dinner tonight!

Awesome!!
