For 66 years and still speaking...wow, Congratulations! Sounds like you both "reeled in a fine catch". May God bless your years ahead.

May God bless you both and grant you many more. Sounds like you both chose well many years ago.

We appeciate all of your kind words and good wishes. This forum has some very nice people and I am glad to be a member.

This is simply not possible?
You don't have enough postings to have been married for 66 years!
CONGRATULATIONS!
I'll bet she's as beautiful, as she is patient?

Congratulations, AncientOne! Best wishes to you and your patient and long-suffering wife! :)
I see you are in OK; are you anywhere near Claremore, home of the JM Davis Gun Museum? I stopped there once for coffee, crossing the country coming back from Viet Nam and spent an unplanned week there! I met Mr. Davis himself and he was one interesting fellow! Possibly you have met him as well? I have a feeling you are also an interesting man to visit!

I live in the OKC area about 125 miles from Claremore. I was never fortunate to be there when Mr. Davis was alive and in the museum but I have been there several times. For anyone traveling I44 a stop in Claremore to visit the gun museum is more than worthwhile. For those that are not familiar with the museum they have guns that date back to the very early days( Chinese, etc), every different style of a lot of models and some very interesting old lawman guns.Yes they have Smith & Wessons.
The last time I was there I was looking through the gift shop and found several 1940-50 issues of American Rifleman for a buck a piece.
The abundance and price of guns being advertised was amazing.

Don't have a formula but never leave a disagreement to get more intense, talk it out. You may sometimes agree to disagree but that is better that letting it fester. Be willing to admit it when you are wrong.
Be willing to apologize when you need to. You have to love each other but just as important you have to be friends.

Ancient one and your bride; Congratulations! My bride and I met at 17/18 and married at 18/19 (I'm the younger one). We celebrated our 39th in July and hope to have many more. How did we ever get so lucky???
