I have a nice centennial 640 in 38spl.

I haven't carried it in a while and carry my p30sk now.

I was thinking of letting it go so I went on gunbroker to get an idea of resale value and couldn't find my exact model. Ot has the inch and 7/8 barrel and has the markings tested with +p+ under the cylinder on the frame. Just trying to get a realistic resale value thanks.

Condition? Gun alone or with accoutrement?

I've seen recent listings aiming for the $750 range but I think that's mighty optimistic

I snagged an as-new condition one several years back at about $450 and thought that a fair deal. Today I'd say $550 to $600 is realistic, again, based on condition.

Mine, stock, has by far the best J-frame trigger I've ever encountered. Loves 158gr LSWHP -- POA/POI.

Yeah in good condition pocket carried in a sticky holster mostly. Box and stuff long gone.

Good condition can mean a lot to different folk. Post some pics to help you dial it in.

Fast sale $450, being patient perhaps up to $600 as mentioned depending on mechanical/physical condition, region and whether shipped or ftf.

Your timing is horrible. Been on the look for one. Just got one for just under $400

Too bad you hadn't saved the Original Box & Paperwork, as many Folks will pay a slight premium for such items. The 'problem', if it is indeed a problem is that many of today's Generation are all for Automatic's. Usually it's the older crowd who still cherish the Revolver. Your 640 is one of earlier production, when they included the 'Rated for +P+' on them. But, this means nothing other than to dedicated Collector of course. IMHO, without Box, & in 'really nice' Condition, had I been looking for one, I would be willing to go around $450 +/-, although the 640 /642 Series happen to be amongst my favorite 'Deep Carry' pocket friends, so naturally I'm quite fond & partial to them. Settle on a Price, then Advertise it here on the Forum. Hopefully you'll get a bite of two ? Good Luck,

Best, Dom P.

Think i will just check my local gun forums and try and trade it for a 357 frame. Thanks all
