Ok this may sound crazy but can you change a 9mm M&P over to shoot 40cal by changing the barrel and mags? Someone told me that you can do that with another manufacture's guns. Not sure if the ejector/slide would work properly. Any thoughts?

No. You cannot do that with any manufacturer's guns that I know of. The dimensions of the breech face are different.

You can change from .40 S&W to .357 SIG by only doing a barrel change. Whether you need to change magazines in this conversion varies by manufacturer. S&W and SIG say same mag works, while Glock has a different magazine.

Springfield Armory offered the "Omega"? I believe it was called, 1911 lower with a custom upper that used dual extractors and would work with differant barrel and mags to go from 9mm through 45. Handled a few but never shot one, fairly pricey at the time as I remember ('88)?
The glock mags are the same other than one is marked .357 and the other .40, don't know why they just don't mark them 357/40.

If you think you can change the Glock 35 from .40 to 9mm by merely changing a barrel, I would respectively say that you are wrong. Please, do not believe me. Call Glock and ask them. They will tell you.

I do not believe that is correct. The mags do differ slightly - I cannot remember if it is the follower or some other minor difference, but there is a difference. You may want to check a factory parts list. I am betting you will find a different part number for the followers.
