Changing firing pins

How do I change a frame mountedfiring pin on a 586??? Or should I take it to a gunsmith?

Welcome to the forum. You need to remove the side plate, then you will see a pin in the top in front of the hammer. Pull the pin and the firing pin will come out. Just don't pry the cover off, take a hammer handle and hit grip frame with it on the plate side.
