Chicken Noodle Soup.....

This was tonight's dinner. Beef stew and cornbread muffins.

My favorite variation has green beans and tomatoes instead of the carrots and peas but I also like that version.

I like to make Beer Cheese Soup, found a knock off recipe from the 94th bomb group restaurant that used to be in Fairfield NJ, closed now. I believe there might be a few left, last one I saw was near Miami airport.

My best efforts come off of the grill but I can do a decent Red Beans and Rice and a poor imitation of my father's Beef and Barley soup.

And my lunch today.

"Bacalhau com batatas a murro"(grilled dried and salted cod fish with baked potatos).

Another 1/2 liter of good red wine in order.

For dessert chocolate cake and a balloon glass of "aguardente velha"(we cannot call it cognac because the French "own" the name).
