Chipotle is delicious

IMHO, Taco Bell is better than chipotles, and I'm not a fan of Taco Bell. Around here, it seems like there is a Mexican food joint on every corner and many, if not all are better than chipotles.

"I'm not sure what they should call the stuff you buy in California. Nuevo Wavo Mexican? LOL"

Obviously, never eaten Mexican food in Los Angeles! Try a Manny's Special or a Hollenbeck from El Tepeyec? Guacamole taco or chili Colorado burrito from Mr taco on Third st? Taquitos from Olvera Street? Or tostadas from the hole-in-the-wall place near L.A. jail (No jokes, our car broke down on the way home from work!)

There's a reason Texan's serve "Tex Mex" and not Mexican!

From a "Gringo" born and raised in East L.A.

Hmm, sorry to disappoint but yeah I've had Mexican food in LA and other places in Cali a few times. The places visited were not close in taste to my preferred baseline of TexMex.

It's my taste prejudice and I'm sure the places you mentioned are great.

On another note, I have had outstanding Mexican food in Perry, GA of all places. If you like stupid large portions try any Mexican restaurant Omaha. I know one thing for sure. If I eat Mexican I'll need a nap afterward. Love it!

Don't get the Chipotle hate. Yes, it is fast food. No, it probably isn't as good the local mom & pop place. But it is far above the likes of Taco Bell. They use real chicken, pork, and beef. The grill is visible to the customers in all of the one's I've seen, you can see them cooking real meat, veggies, and rice right in front of you. They may not use everyone's favorite choice of spices, but the meat is decent quality stuff and comes from real critters.

Yeah I worked at Taco Bell for a summer when I was 16 years old, my first job. When I started there it was a real food place as well. Tyson grilled chicken for fajitas, real beans soaked and boiled then mashed up for the burritos and real meat. I got fired for eating a Taco on break lol

That was the best Taco Bell ever was gosh that was a different time, now days for people who still eat Taco Bell they get prepared frozen food shipped in bags with so much preservatives the good through date is probably sometime next year. What Taco Bell was in the 80s taco Bueno is to today.

Baja burriots are a just large kitchen sink burritos. Blue coast burriots, MOEs and chipotles are all baja Cali style burritos. Not Mexican food nor intended to be bug still good stuff.

WE used to say don't order Mexican food north of Cedar City, Utah. But I had some really good Mexican in Rawlins, Wyoming. I asked for some jalapenos on the side and they fell over themselves.

The first time I moved north, there were two Mexican places in Olympia. The one everyone raved about was a sit-down, glorified Taco Bell. The other (run by the same family) was a hole in the wall. They loved me when I ordered in Spanish. THAT ONE had great food.

Even now, only two places have mezcal here in town and there must be well over 2 dozen Mexican and Tex-Mex restaurants.

Welcome to Moe's!

It's my Mexican place and it must be Mexican because the
franchise owner is Mexican and so are the workers there.
So it's genuine Mexican. :p

I'm a certified gun nut from waaay back- but also I believe in the part of the Constitution that allows them to run their food place as they see fit.
They have the right to ask me not to bring my gun.

I have the right to give somebody ELSE my money.

The're not ENTITLED to my business.

I just don't need a gun to go out to eat...
I'm sure these people thought the same thing...
