Once again, it's cider pressing time here at the ol' homestead. The Gravenstein apples are always early, so we pressed a couple gallons of straight Gravenstein a couple weeks ago. It's okay, but a little insipid.
Now, however, the other apples are ripe, so today some of the family came up and we pressed twenty gallons. This year's mix is comprised of Fuji, Honey Gold, Empire, and some Pixie Crunch. It turned out to be a great blend, even if I do say so myself.
