Class 3 refinishing

Recently aquired a sub machine gun, my question is it seems to be original finish with some patina on it . The gun is parkerized, I was wondering how does the value affect guns that are class 3 / full auto, if one was to refinish it . Say to preserve it. I know whEn refinishing revolvers of collector value, it drastically reduces resale ... any thoughts. ..

If it’s a factory original machinegun, it will likely hurt the value. If it’s a pre ‘86 conversion or rewat, I tend to doubt it will make a difference.

We have refinished many class III weapons and if done properly it will not effect the resale in most cases it will enhance it
