I may go just to see who i outlived

Now that might motivate me to go back.

It wasn't such a big deal with my class, but my next older brother graduated in 1965. He told me that within 10 years, they lost 10% of their class, to drugs and Viet Nam.

I found my 50th a curious affair, like something out of the Twilight Zone-or time travel. I happen to be extremely well preserved, the years have been good to me in that regard. One rather casual friend-whom I last saw in 1967-said he envied me-"You still have hair."

Just yesterday I was notified of my class combined with two others were
having an afternoon get-to-gather next month. Sort of an informal 1-4
hours, I'm planning on going.

My wife and I graduated from the same high school, and we dated then. The year was 1957, and the class of over 500 people have sorta hung together ever since. We had our 60th reunion in 2017, and this is a photo of those who have survived and attended. I'm the guy on the very far left. The shot was made with my camera and a timer; I had to run to get in the picture. My wife is third from the right.

My HS graduating class had 76 people in it. A third of those I attended K-12 with. I moved away so don't get to see many of them on a regular basis.

I enjoy seeing the life events that people post on social media and it makes my heart glad to see everyone is doing well. Sure, some were A-holes in HS, but that was a long time ago.

I just saw an email today about getting together for our 45th this year. I wouldn't miss it.

...Sure, some were A-holes in HS, but that was a long time ago...

Through elementary school and high school -- twelve long years -- I had a nemesis in school. He tormented and bullied me relentlessly, we fought openly on occasion, and I hated his guts.

At previous reunions we kept our distance. At our 50th last month I was shocked when he walked over to me, extended his right hand, and told me he was happy to see that I was alive and well. We talked for a few minutes...the first pleasant exchange I'd ever had with him.

Yes, high school was a long time ago...

I was in the class of '78 and still haven't been to one. Got invited once, but passed.

Out of a class of 149 only a few are left. That was in 1949. I attended my 15th,25th,40th,50th & 60th. Never again, most are gone. Not enough to fill a phone booth.

I attended once or twice, even though I was in the Army at Fort Hood and I graduated from a school in San Antonio. Someone finally contacted me and I gave them my answer with a question.
Who would ever schedule the reunion on the first day of deer hunting season??
