Clean up

With the exterior as corroded as that... one wonders what the powder looks like inside the cases. I guess that I would just toss it, although the magazine loader and stripper device might be of use later with better ammo.

If you do clean it up, I'd avoid using Brasso as the corporate opinion is that it can weaken brass. I'm not sure of the chemistry on that, but perhaps steel wool held over a spinning case would be the best approach. Lee makes a case holder that will fit in a drill chuck for spinning the case.

Not seeing all the sides of all the ammo, I'd err on the side of caution and toss em. Even at today's ammo prices that's $6 or so worth of ammo, I wouldn't risk my carbine for the price of a craft beer with dinner.

I think you need to shoot your ammo a little more, instead of letting it
sit in storage, without checking on it, now and then.

In that shape.............
it will go in the round file.

It looks like 30 carbine ammo. If I wanted to shoot my carbine really bad, I would rather pay a premium for newer ammo than shoot that questionable ammo.
