How far do you guys go when cleaning an M&P?

Do you remove the locking block, the sear housing block, slide stop or trigger bar and clean them as well?

Thanks

Every cleaning? Lord no.

Maybe once a year depending on much I shoot it.

Would generally say every 5,000 rounds.

Nope... Just field strip and simple cleaning as described in the YouTube Video "Gun Cleaning 101" by FMGPubs.

I might before I sell/trade it, but...
My LGS is going to do that before they resell it, so no need to even do it then. :D

With the M&P you do not have to pull the trigger. There is what's called a "sear disconnect lever". With that in the forward position, you rotate the take-down lever and the slide will come right off.

I just field strip mine. You need to remember that anytime you start driving out pins and disassembling parts you are causing wear that the manufacturer never planned on. Eventually things will get loose and tolerances sloppy.
