I clean My 342Ti Cylinder with Birchwood Casey's Bore Scrubber & a Plastic Bore Brush on the inside of the charge holes & used a bit of that sauce on a micro fiber rag on the outside of the cylinder & it removed all the burn marks from the sides of the Titainium cylinder, It did not remove all the burn rings from the cylinders face, I also scrubbed that area with the BCBS using a Tooth Brush..
Give it a Try, It's some pretty Good Sauce..

Believe it or not, try BonAmi. That's right. The kitchen cleanser. It says on the can, never scratched, never will. So I gave it a try. Works beautifully. No scratches, no finish wear. I know somebody's going to pipe in that you should only use products that are specifically for firearms. Like alot of people say, guns are only tools. Mostly steel and/or aluminum. Unless it's a blued piece, I don't worry about damaging the finish, for the most part. I have used BonAmi for years with no ill effects. Give it a try. You will be pleasantly surprised.

Hey eddieb, are you using the Cleaning Power or the Polishing Cleanser? Plus have you used this on a blued gun?

I use Hoppes No.9 on the titanium cylinders of both my S&W 646 and 327.

The Birchwood Casey's Bore Scrubber is a 2-in-1 Bore Cleaner, For Copper & Nitro Fouling..
Good Stuff, It works for me..
I was told about it here @ The S&W Forum for use on a 642-2 & that it wouldn't harm that fragile finish..

I tried Bonami on my 329PD to clean the smudges off the outside of the cylinder without success. I put a little Bonami in a small bowl with a little bit of water to make a paste and rubbed it into the smudge with a rag. Tried for a bit with little effect other than making the spot a bit brighter, not the effect I was looking for.
Any suggestions?

Have you tryed Simichome polish? Its Very gentle. A old timer told me its safe for even Colts Royal Blue. Most gun shops have it in small tubes. worth a try.

After looking at my cylinder I think that it may have been coated. Most look a bit on the grey side while mine looks the same black as the frame which leads me to believe the previous owner may have had it coated when he got the barrel ported. The spot I used the Bonami on started looking a bit on the grey side so I stopped.
I think I will just let well enough alone, shoot the revolver and enjoy it while letting it look used.
