Do what you have to do to make the 351C California legal.

How about when are the right-thinking people of California going to get off their knees and take back their state???!!

My previous comment was, of course, not aimed at Coach who sells guns in California, so there was no personal afford intended. Rather my intent was to voice the frustration of people and companies who are bullied and abused by the liberals in California and other liberal states.

If the gun companies just stopped selling into California (and 2 or 3 of the other states that insist on stupid redesigns) -- maybe the gun owners and people who want to buy guns might put some pressure on the politicians. If the gun companies just keep surrendering and just keep making stupid design changes to appease the liberals, then the people have less incentive to revolt (they'll just buy the stupidly redesigned gun). In the long run -- telling the California politicians to go pound sand might just be the best course of action.

Ashlander- How about ALL AMERICANS get off their knees and take back their COUNTRY??????

Blaming California gun owners for the onerous laws in that state is asinine. They didn't vote for the laws nor did they elect the morons in Sacramento who enacted them. The fact is that CA is a highly urbanized and liberally dominated state. When there is an election the liberals win because they outnumber the "right thinking" citizens. It's that simple.

I love the dolts on GunBroker who refuse to sell to Californians because they disapprove of the bad gun laws there. Well guess what, Sherlock, CA gun owners don't like them a Hell of a lot more than you do.

Over the years, I've become convinced that the so called "liberal anti gun agenda" has less to do with liberals being anti gun as it is that conservatives are pro gun. Naturally, then the other side has to have an opposite opinion on just about any subject. It work equally well the other way.

I associate with liberal, conservatives and middle of the roaders on a daily basis and I don't believe any of them want the 2nd amendment run over. It's just a few individuals in the Democratic leadership that keep pushing the anti gun agenda. It seems to be a generational thing when one antigunner congressperson retires or croaks another pops up out of the woodwork. It's the whole squeeky wheel thing.

Tyrod: I understand how you might believe that anti-gun sentiment is mainly a politician thing. I want to suggest, however, that most anti-gun people just don't tell you how they really feel. They want to be polite. That's understandable.

I am a lawyer by background and among lawyers -- many are anti-gun. Unlike normal people on the street who may not readily voice their anti-gun sentiments (to be polite), lawyers are used to argument and confrontation (and not getting personal about). Trust me, from talking with many of anti-gun lawyer friends -- liberals who are anti-gun hate guns and don't want you owning any.

Many believe guns are designed only to kill Bambi or innocent human beings. Others think guns are inherently unsafe and are an unacceptable danger in American households (where they suppose that untold numbers of children are killed with their daddys' guns.). Others think gun ownership harks back to the wild west -- they believe that law and order is the sole purview of government agents and agencies.

Finally, many who have known (or know about) friends, asscociates or family members who have committed suicide with guns -- blame the guns (you have heard them -- "After that, I could never own a gun.").

As for them not wanting the 2nd Amendment run over -- that's just wrong. Many are still insisting that the Supreme Court got it wrong in Heller (we won by only 1 vote!). They truly believe there should be no individual right to own guns.

2nd Amendment liberals are individuals who see the world not at is but as they would like it to be despite the vast chasm between those two world views. Sadly, they have tremendous political power in CA because of the block voting in the north particularly San Francisco, which is probably the most morally degenerate city in the US, perpetually pandering to the absurd demands of the gay, lesbian and transgender contingent.

They see firearms as objects which are only suitable for killing innocents and believe law enforcement is the only solution and that they're capable of handling the situation.

Unfortunately, as most all gun enthusiasts realize, they're dead wrong, no pun intended. As the well known expression goes and it is one that my cop son agrees with "when seconds count law enforcement is only minutes away." Don

Not to be disrespectful, but isn't a lawyer just a politician that hasn't come out of the closet. Yeah, I understand there is a core group of intellectuals that truly are antigun, but I still don't believe most Democrats are, by nature, antigun. I think what Democrats get fooled by is seemingly reasonable gradualism in the antigun agenda. What pains me as a Democrat is that antigun rhetoric has become a permanent part of the Democratic platform and somehow some democrats believe that "in for a penny, in for a pound". Now they think they should follow that platform whether they actually believe in it or not.

Oh well, we're getting off track. Let the Californians have their revolution.

There are many attorneys that I know are not anti-gun, and own them. Many have a CFP, and carry them frequently The attorneys I know are a mixture of liberals and conservatives. It might not be liberal/conservative/politician/lawyer thing. Could be a state thing as as Nevada is a relatively gun friendly state, and most of the politicians in both parties aren't screwing around with our gun laws (there are a few that would, if they could).

Thank you 47D.
My post was directed at Smith & Wesson, who I have discussions about this
on a regular basis. It has NOTHING to do with politics or the people who live in my state.
If your comments do not pertain to the post,
please either keep them to yourselves or post them where they belong.
My post was placed in "Revolvers 1980 to the Present".
Not in a Conservative, Liberal or Gun Rights forum.
Thank you.

Mike, I did leave CA in 1992. Quit mt job, sold my house and left. It was very hard to leave extended family and friends but I felt I had to do it.

Not everyone can make this decision due to family and personal concerns. Still not fair IMO to blame the bad gun laws on those who are suffering the worst.

I am sensing this thread headed to the grumpy monkey with a padlock area..... Now where is the popcorn?
