On or about Feb 20 I mailed in my order for an Inland M1 Carbine. I have yet to receive any confirmation of that order. I know that they are badly overwhelemed with orders and that they are shutting down the eStore for a few weeks to catch up. I'm just concerned that my order either never got there or it got lost in the chaos. Can any CMP savy members shed some light on my situation? I've been checking my online account almost daily to see if it turns up. Should I just be patient or is something wrong?

I ordered mine in Nov 08, and just received notice it will be shipped soon. That seems to be the normal wait these days. Sit back, relax and wait for the credit card hit...about 3-4 months.

I was in the same boat as you with the last carbine I ordered during the rush. I never received any contact from them at all until the gun was shipped, which was about 2 months after I sent the order in. I almost contacted them at some point, but decided instead to sit back & see what happened. And eventually, my carbine arrived. They are VERY busy with all the orders, so I wouldn't worry about your order getting lost. It's buried somewhere in one of the piles & eventually they'll get to it. You'll find a lot of guys on the CMP forum are going through the same thing. Ya just have to be a little more patient during this busy time for them. It's worth the wait though.

Good luck.

I find this all rather humorous, actually!

I, and then a year later, my wife, "qualified" for the "once in a lifetime" M1 Garand. Sent the orders into the old DCM and it took about 18 motnhs for each. You didn't even think about it for over a year. This was back in about 1989-1990.

I'm with you. The "old DCM" where they were allotted (I think) 6,000 per year. You sent in your request, and then waited. If you didn't get one from that allotment, you went into the next years batch. Mine took 14 months, but it only cost me $168.
