After seeing the German coffee thread got me to thinking, How do you like you coffee and how do you brew it?
Who's coffee to you like the best? ;)

My wife and I used. Bunn coffee maker for many years until it finally went kaput!
Soooo we jumped onboard the Kuerig craze! I like the idea of brewing only one cup at a time versus a whole pot, but I have to admit those pod coffees do not taste as good as an old fashioned brewed pot! ;)
Sometimes I'm tempted to just go out and get an old fashioned percolator.
When I'm out and about I still go for my local WaWa coffee! :)

I forgot to mention I've been drinking Maxwell House with a little half & half in it.
On the outside it's my WaWa coffee same way. Use to drink at least 3 cups a day but since going through chemo I've lost my taste for it!

Black & Decker makes a one cup called the Brew & Go, it comes with a travel mug and sell's for about 20 bucks and makes good coffee, I have been using them for years.

Coffee keeps me alive. Missus Fan knows not to try to talk to me until I've had a cup.
I use a perk pot. It is WAY better than the drip pots.
I drink it black, and strong.
Folgers Butternut is best.
Maxwell House will do in a pinch.

I like my coffee black and strong.
I only drink coffee from a local family owned roaster, Whiting Coffee.
I make it in a small drip machine, a large cup like 12 oz at a time.
Norm Whiting only roasts dark and darker.
His lightest roast is called 'full city' which is darker than most of the grocery store roasts.

I've got a twelve cup Black & Decker which replaced the twelve cup Mr. Coffee that died.

I get the "gourmet" coffees from Giant Eagle. Lately I've been getting Jamaican, but I also get Kenya AA and Sumatra. I can't stand the big name canned coffees. Haven't bought any in years.

I like my coffee STRONG, usually with milk AND Sweet 'n Low. I hate coffee with ONLY milk/cream OR sweetener. Otherwise I just drink it black.

I learned to make good coffee from watching Alton Brown on "Good Eats". You use a LOT of coffee and not so much water. Too much water gets not only the essential coffee flavors, but also the bitterness.

Strong for real is at least 6 heaping scoops per pot, then with milk or creamer.

Two mugs in the morning, black and strong, no sweetening, from a Mister Coffee that is identical to the Black & Decker I had except for the brand markings.

May drink another small cup in a meeting occasionally.

Occasionally in cold weather I'll add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the brewing basket.

Once in a very great while I'll make a dessert coffee, with cream, sugar, a dash of orange extract, a little real vanilla extract and a pinch of cinnamon. I just don't think of it as coffee but as liquid candy.

I'm not a connoisseur, but like a dark roast.

I buy the Aldi dark roast 17oz brick and make it strong in a $20 Procter Silex basic 12 cup drip coffee maker. It's a good one that gets extra hot. I then pour it into a thermal carafe as soon as it's finished brewing so it doesn't sit on the hot plate and scorch. Hot and black is the way I take it.

For a change I'll add a big scoop of Maxwell House vanilla along with the dark roast, mainly because I like the aroma.

I drink several mugs of strong coffee with sugar.Lately Ive been mixing half a mug of it with half a mug of hot chocolate. My teeth hate me [emoji1]

When first married we had a Melitta Mill and Brew. You loaded a filter basket with beans, put water in the reservoir and turned a dial and it ground the beans on the spot and then made the coffee. We upgraded to a digital timer version. From the bedroom on the second floor in the morning you heard the grinder go off and soon after the smell of fresh coffee wafted up the stairs. They were problematic in that the latch on the lid over the beans would break off. Wouldn't grind without it down and I think we made coffee in ours at least 5 years with a rock on the lid. Finally had to retire it because a replacement filter basket was no longer available. Cuisinart tried to make something similar but my in laws went through two before giving up on them.

For Christmas this year a house present was the latest from Black and Decker. Same deal, load a basket with beans, set timer if you wish, and it grinds and then brews up to 12 cups.

8 O'Clock original is the go to brand but weekend coffee could be some Sumatra Reserve. Joey Kramer of Aerosmith is now selling coffee, I may order some of those beans online to try. :)

I like my Keurig coffee maker.I would prefer nice perked coffee like Mom made but who can wait that long.

The only problem with the Keurig brand is that there is a possibility of disasters happening which can ruin your whole day.

Must learn to keep condiments far away from the K-cups...

Coffee is one of those acquired tastes I don't understand. I admit the aroma is pretty good, but the taste is just awful. I can't figure out how something can smell good but taste so horrible. I can't drink it unless I add a ton of cream and sugar. I decided I wasn't that much interested in 'acquiring' the taste.

God old Mr. Coffee 12 cup-a couple large scoops of Cafe' Bustello Cuban Espresso coffee, with some gourmet on top, maybe camel drissel or some such-a couple of small scoops-Makes 12 cups of larapin' good, gum hummin' furniture polish!

We use a Bunn at the house. Travel camping we use a stove top Dip brewer (like a Bunn without power) Backpacking and canoeing I use a small 1 qt. perk pot to heat water and brew coffee. Central Ohio has the national HQ for White Castle. I am a firm believer they have the best cup of coffee you can buy!

In the early 80's I was up to 5 or 6 QUARTS of coffee a day, then stopped cold turkey for 3 years. We started again but at a more normal consumption level. I went to De-caf in 2004, this week I had like 15 cups but often I'll go 2 or 3 weeks without a cup; WITHOUT CAFFEINE, coffee is just warm brown water. Ivan

I remember the 1950 Worthmore as a youngster.........

then a alum. 16 cup....
GE 9 cup...
Sunbeam C30A....
Mr. Coffee 12 cup, drip.........

Coffe went from:
Folgers..
Hills Bro........
1985 Tasters Choice crystals.... (any where, any time )
and finally years ago to the whole coffee beam craze....

Komo, Hazelnut, French Roast, Crème Brulee.........
with a shot of Anisette in my coffee when I go out to dinner
after the meal.
