Are we talking about the camo pattern over the hi-vz orange background? Those work really well. Deer are supposedly color blind and the pattern does a great job of breaking your shape up. The orange reduces your chance of getting shot on public lands.

That's one of my favorite combos!

A bright orange vest is considerably cheaper than another expensive bright orange hunting jacket/coat. Having one good camo jacket you can wear the jacket when not hunting, hunting where camo is needed and when bright orange is required (with cheap orange vest).

Also cuts down considerable on closet space.

I've always wondered about the camo wallets.....
Would this be to not spook the deer when you were showing it your hunting license?
What if you dropped it the woods and then couldn't find it??

My wife found a shoe store with camo pattern stilettos. Every lady hunter should have them. We were laughing at the time about what she would wear with them and which rifle she should carry.

Fast forward to two weeks ago and there was the soccer girl on one of the Spanish channels was wearing a camo sheath dress with yellow heels:confused:. My wife pointed out that she had obviously missed the sale with the proper camo shoes we had seen.

I've yet to see camo sweatpants but I'm sure they are out there somewhere

Oh my! Around here ya see the camo sweatpants, leggings, yoga pants...

Now... I'm not really clear on were leggings end & yoga pants begin but I have a pretty wide comfort zone on "who should & shouldn't" rock 'em. I say go for it! ;)

As for a fashion statement, around here it's kind of the opposite of millenial beanies and skinny jeans. A sort of anti-PC statement.

Then there are guys whose knockaround clothes are camo because those are their huntin' clothes as well.

I like camo shorts because among other things they don't show dog drool in the crotch! :D

I believe the photo Rusty posted is
from the Robert DeNiro movie
"The Deer Hunter."

Christopher Walked must be the
butt end.

I have seen plenty of outfits that could be improved with a bunch of camo.

Don't own any real camo. I believe that movement does far more to attract an eye. Years ago I got some orange denim and sewed up a vest with big pockets and a pack pouch in the back. Then I took a big magic marker and put some slashes on in here and there. Ugly as sin. but never had any game (or wardens) complain.

Practical application or daily wear?
See it all the time but I wonder why people use camo as a fashion statement.

It is a personal statement. It is not much different from having purple or green hair. It says: Look At Me!

I wore a lot of camo when it counted. I would not ever wear a piece of it today to avoid bad memories resurfacing,
