It actually works out for me since I needed a frame to go with this barrel I picked up recently and the damage to this one made the price way nicer for a project gun.

I'm thinking 5" 45 Colt in the future.

I bought it from a gunsmith who shot it and said it shoots fine. But I have enough 38's and not enough 45's. And that 45 Cal barrel is lonely.

It's a 1954 OD by the way and the 45 barrel is off a 1952 Pre-26 45ACP.

Another 1/2" further forward and it would make a great Outdoorsman snubby.
