Colorado wants to do away with due process for gun owners.

This nonsense is why my company and my family are moving out of Kolofornia.

I'm leaving too, ASAP, but for a bunch of different reasons. The gun control push is just more gas on the fire.

People keep saying no, this will never happen, and it keeps happening.

grossly unconstitutional is better

The court's are more likely to strike down a grossly unconstitutional law.

Bad laws are written fast and errors are common. That is one reason why almost all laws include a severability clause that says if part of a law is found unconstitutional the rest stays in force.

Mistakes can be as simple as a misplaced coma to a completely wrong idea. Bruce Lee used a butterfly knife in the movies, so several states made mere possession of such a knife is a felony.

Pay attention and expect lies and distorted facts.

I doubt such a law will be enacted. We can only imagine if it did, every doctor, counselor, or social worker would play CYA and report even the slightest concern to police. Then there would be monitoring. What LEO wants to start knocking on the doors of people reported under these laws?

And do not forget before you let doctor write and transmit a prescription in your name you better see what all that med is used for, my Doctor prescribed me something to help stop smoking, (thankfully I must have been allergic to it) so stopped taking it after only a few days and he wrote that up. But anyway come to find out it was used to treat depression as well, so if they just link med records and the computer or person sees that med listed and not look at what it was for, bam! I must have been on that med for treatment of depression... Something to keep in mind as most are now computerized and send right to pharmacy for you, might need to bring smart phone, iPad something to check what meds before agreeing to a med your doctor wants to prescribe.

It's already enacted in NY, and an Erie County pistol permit holder had his permit suspended because he had been on anti-anxiety medication that had been prescribed for him sometime in the past. According to media reports, he was not under current treatment or currently taking the medication, but was reported to the "state" who contacted the pistol permit office.

UPDATE: WIVB tv news is now reporting that the pistol permit holder who had his guns confiscated was the wrong individual. Apparently there was a mix-up on the part of the "state", and they ordered the guns seized from the wrong individual. The Supreme Court Judge that signed the order to suspend the permit is now signing an order to have the guns returned to the individual.
