I just heard through a Rocky Mountain Gun Owners email that our illustrious legislators have dropped the "Assault Weapons Ban" bill, supposedly due to overwhelming opposition. While they did manage to pass several other ill-advised measures, hopefully this defeat will make them a little more cautious next time.

A somewhat pyrrhic victory given the other measures that passed and are expected to receive the gov's signature, such as the almost total evisceration of the 2A for those in the 18-20 age range, a statewide mandatory 3-day waiting period (say goodbye to most gun shows), expansion of who can initiate Red Flag confiscations, and allowing lawsuits against firearms business entities for whatever justification you see fit.

That's why I left. Restore one right, remove three more. That Red Flagl law is a total joke. Violates half of the Bill of Rights.
