Colt Government Model .380 New Grips/wPics

A few weeks ago I installed Colt medallions on a nice set of wood grips I picked up for my Colt Government .380

(This is compact not a full-size gun ca. 1980)

The original grips are plastic and I think these are a step up.

I've got the stainless version with the much-cheaper looking plastic grips. Good job and great photos! And, it's still feels lighter than my SIG P238 - the slide is like a small brick on it.

SA1911, a little over 2 lbs. loaded is my guess.

That is a beautiful gun. I like the grips, the wood is perfect on that finish. I have a weakness for those little long handled Colts. I wish I could find that model without paying an arm and a leg to get it. Yours looks unfired. I did not set out to collect them, but I found all of mine in the span of about 4 months for good prices. I’ll put mine up for viewing so everyone can see what the original plastic grips look like.

BC38, Thx... I found them on Amazon.

If you decide to buy a pair take a good look to make sure they're metal and the finer details such as the lines on the globe and the spears are sharp.
