OK my nickname is Thuer. The only Thuer I do own was a 3th model Thuer Derringer. But, things have changed a bit. I did get the change to own a real and original Thuer conversion.
Ofcource I grab it. (Aldo my wife is not happy with me at the moment.)
This is a model 1860 Army Thuer conversion made in 1868. It has a the right things to be a good Thuer. There are two things wrong with it. The mainspring is a replacemend and the gripstock to. That grip is to small.
I do place some pictures, so you can get an idear how it works. The ring has two places where the hammer do hit. One is the firing pin. The other is for to eject the empty case. Nice idear. But it do only works when the cilinderchambers are clean. I am for sure happy with it. Yes, I did showed the Thuer to Colt Collectors. They confirm it is the real thing.
