Combat Barbie?

Good for her! Everybody should have a chance to do what makes them happy in life.

She could go with our USAF Security Force Snipers:

Too much eye makeup, not enough face camo.

YouTube - Kate Nesbitt receives MC

HRH The Prince of Wales decorates Able Seaman Kate Nesbitt with the Military Cross for gallantry in Afghanistan.
(Investiture at Buckingham Palace)

Nesbitt was the first woman in the Royal Navy to receive this honor, which equates to about the Silver Star in US forces. She was a medic accompanying the First Battalion, The Rifles, on patrol when she ran 70 metres under fire and tended to a badly wounded soldier. She performed a tracheotomy to restore breathing and gave blood and treated his wounds until he could be recovered. This entire time, she was exposed to Taliban fire.

The Company Sgt. Major yelled for her to "get down on her buckle", lest she also be hit, but she ignored him and treated her patient, who recovered. He would have surely died, had not Kate Nesbitt shown great coolness under fire.

YouTube - Kate Nesbitt MC receives award

Simon Cowell honors Nesbitt on "The X Factor". Note the cheering crowd, who applauded her courage under fire. Watch the entire video, which tells her story beyond the X-Factor part. This is an impressive video.

The video features the soldier who was saved by Nesbitt's work. He sounds a little funny, having suffered a throat wound.

This is about a Royal Navy medic, but Combat Barbie may also perform as well, if called on. She is certainly cuter than Kate Nesbitt.

Say what you will, but she has the looks that wars were fought over in earlier times.

Are you referring to Helen of Troy? No one today knows what she looked like. I sort of picture Dutch model Doutzen Kroes as my ideal Helen, if I was casting a movie about her. Probably better not post any videos of her here, but there are a bunch on YouTube.

Not that Doutzen has ever been in the military. But she does a very good job of marching down the catwalk for Victoria's Secret, L'Oreal, etc.

And South African model Candice Swanepoel does date a British soldier, which is sort of on topic. She earns millions, but her boyfriend is a soldier. That impressed me. :)

I'm sure it's some sort of "publicity shot." Not sure that detracts at all from what she's doing... how many Miss America contestants have ever answered one of those inane questions by saying that what they'd really like to do is serve in the military, preferably in-theater?

I think the USAF Security Forces sniper actually does that work in Iraq, although she probably darkens her face for some assignments.

This was discussed on the Net a couple of years ago

The chin strap is keeping her from a full smile.

Is it true that most Brits have big and bad teeth?

If so I wonder why? Must be the water. (Don't mean or want to wonder off the main OP)
