Guys I just could not say no! 2017 has been great for hard to find Smith's! Not so great for the wallet though. I apologise for the poor pictures. It has rained here for the last several days. I'll try and get natural light pictures when and if the sun ever comes out. All numbers matching early Combat Magnum. I have found 2 of my grail guns this year. I hope to post on the other soon.
This is the only one I have that has numbered grips. And yes the numbers match. Thanks for letting me share.

Congratulations, beautiful combat magnum, amazing package and after Doc's post: double Wow! Cannot think of a better way to blow that particular resolution, trust me, there are a bunch of us on this site that have vowed the same thing, for naught.

And that is an example of why I don't bother with New Year's resolutions. That is simply awesome. Is that one of the 10 known cased Combat Magnums, or will this be number 11 in the record books?

Haven't purchased anything for a while. But, but I have my eye on a S&W m27 w/8 3/8" barrel in that world famous S&W nickel. Every time I save up some mad money I find that something comes up and takes it. Next month I'll have $2k to spend.

I made no resolution...

...but if I would have, I would have failed... A 3.5" model marked 27 and a couple of pre-27s, one on each end of the barrel length spectrum.:D Now the resolution: I'm going to be done for the year... until I find something that I have to have.

Stay strong and resolute!!! ...or if you can't, then buy nice stuff.:D

A good 2017 New Year's resolution? Make a good resolution for 2018 ;)

The simple presence of a New Year does nothing for those bit by the S&W collecting bug! A predictable outcome for those who love these guns!
