Guess I'm late to the party...

Shipped May 1956. I've recently given thought to selling it to fund another purchase, but I fear I will regret the move.

I know that my 4" stainless Model 65 is a much later gun but where does it stand in relation to the Combat Magnum? Other than the sights and the stainless, aren't they the same basic gun?

They are both K-frames chambered in .357 Magnum.

Besides the sights and the material, a Model 65 does not have a shrouded ejector rod or serrations on the grip frame. It has a heavy barrel and the Model 65 shipped with service Magna stocks while the (square butt) Combat Magnum had target sotcks.

A 65 is an M&P like the 10, 13, and 64.

Ok. So if you could only have one. Value and price aside. Would you rather have a K frame Combat Magnum or an N frame non reg magnum……. I'll take the K frame.
