Coming to blue state near you

12.6 million live in Illinois. Cook county (which Chicago resides in) has 5.2 million, and counties contiguous with Cook have about a combined almost 4 million. A lot of those almost 9 million total are dependent on Chicago and it's suburbs for their jobs. Unfortunately they're all mindless robots that vote as peer pressure demands. If you and yours are stuck in amongst the misled 9 million I don't mean to insult you but I'm in N.W. Indiana 30 miles from Chicago. People from Chicago and it's surrounding suburbs are moving here in droves. They are in no way having a positive effect on life here.

Or across the Cheddar Curtain.

The demographics of this country are changing. More urban, less rural. States are turning from red to blue, not the other way around.

Eventually things will change enough that there will be an effort to repeal or replace the 2nd Amendment. That's the book answer, provided by the Founding Fathers. Your state may stay red, but if 3/4 aren't you know the rest.

Nobody will come to collect ARs. They'll just make them illegal. Most people will turn them in. Some will hide them in the basement or bury them, but its the same thing. You sure won't be taking it to the range. When you croak your kid will turn them in or let them rust in the yard.

The times, they are a'changing.

I think the 2A won't " go peacefully into that good night".
And that's all I'm saying here. ;)

Pre COVID, I would have agreed with this statement...not so much now. What we witnessed in the name of public safety, embraced by many in this forum, should have everyone fearful for our future. The precedent has been set, call it a public health emergency and all bets are off.

I think people are wising up to that particular flavor of Government shenanigans. Especially with the rather spectacular post-vaccination deaths. They've used up their credulity on that one.

But yeah, there'll always be the bah- bah crowd.

You might just have said it all.

We are in our 70's. My kids are in their 40's. Looks like we wont have any grandchildren, so the future, whatever it may be, is of little concern to us.

Nevertheless, we will never give up the fight. Maybe not for us, but for all the rest of y'all.

God willing we will get thru this. If not. God Bless.
