Commercials that turn you off from buying what they're selling

my choice is the GoDaddy ad where several ugly redheads never said a word but grunted while they pumped their fists in unison.. I'd never use their service after that... if their judgment is that bad to chose/allow that ad campaign, it would be extremely unwise to do business with them...they'd screw anything up.

Any fast-food restaurant ad with a close up of someone shoving a burger into their mouth. I find most Jack In The Box commercials hilarious, though I've never tried anything new on their menu because of them.

Bad, no really bad, commercials and biased 'so called reporting' combined to drive me away from TV about the time the internet gave me an alternative. I don't and won't watch TV today. Election night I watched for about an hour and had to have a strong adult beverage in my hand to be able to do that. IMHO, TV .....IS THE VAST WASTELAND. .......

Guess you have never seen Carl's Jr hamburger ads:D

But besides those, I hate all commercials especially Ask Your Dr about xyz Meds!!

Everyone one of them is folks doing happy, wonderful fun stuff outside after an Rx of the new wonder drug!!

After voting, we didn't watch the news the day of the election & turned off the TV at 9:30pm... we woke up at 3:30am.. I was in the living room trying to go back to sleep in my recliner.. 5 minutes later, the boss came in from the family room and started to talk about the election & I cut her off & told her if I knew.. I'd either be too angry to sleep or too happy to sleep... she just got a big smile on her face & told me good night... It took me 10 minutes of dozing to realize our nation's future had been saved because she was smiling & not crying. We thank the Lord...

I have a rule...I will never take a drug where the list of side effects takes up more time in the commercial than the benefits of taking the drug.

Another rule: I won't buy products where the commercial has some sort of subtle political, social engineering aspect that is in no way related to the product being hawked. I don't care that you installed solar panels because you care about the planet when you just want me to buy your widget.

Almost any of them after they have shown the same one a buzillion times.
They could at least give us a change once in a while. On the other hand,
there are a few that do not turn me off. In fact a couple of them even
turns me on a bit. I agree with bgrafsr about those two on Sonic's
commercial. I would never go to Sonic just for that reason.

Commercials for Liberty Mutual car insurance are the most irritating for me.

Actually, I like the one where the blonde girl finishes up by describing what it said on page 5 of the policy as "Blah, blah.. blah, blah..blah blah, BLAH, blah". That is so accurate for most US business speak.

Back in the UK they largely stamped out that nonsense with the "Plain English Campaign". I suspect most US attorneys would have a fit of the vapors if presented with a UK document that was short, clear, and left NO room for argument.

That particular commercial just makes me shake my head We insure with Liberty and I have one of their policies...it is about a 1/4 inch thick. The font is about 8 point and pretty much it says blah, blah blah in legaleze for 40 or 50 pages.

These are worst, most condescending, dishonest, and generally unlikeable commercials ever.

Not that I have any strong feelings about them.

My father owned an auto salvage yard and did a lot of business with Liberty Mutual. Despite that, he told me that they were the worst company to deal with if you were insured by them. Based on that, I've never considered using them.
