Hey guys, new to the forum. I'm looking to see if anyone knows of any aftermarket pinky extensions for the compact 40 or 9mm magazines other than the factory S&W ones? Something similar to the Pearce Grip or Scherer Grip extensions available for Glock 26/27/etc. I'm not necessarily looking to expand capacity, just for a different option. Not interested in the X-grip for the full size mags, by the way.

I have five of the factory extensions, which are not bad per se, but I kind of like how Pearce/Scherer grips for the Glocks have more of a curve to them for your pinky to sit on. They protrude a little bit more forward towards the front of the weapon towards the bottom creating a lip for your pinky. The factory pinky extension on my Walther PPKS has the same type of curve to it which I think is more comfortable.

Where did you get the extra extensions from, I got 2 mags with my new 40c and only one of them has the extension!

I have the Pearce extensions for my Glock 26 and so far I can only get 11 rounds into them but have gone trough 500 rounds and the magazines are getting broke in, according to the people at Pearce this is normal, so instead of using the 17 round mags I just use my new ones, don't really care about accuracy of shots but the amount of shot fired to reach full capacity of 12 rounds.

I love the way they fill out the grip and I also have one that does not increase the capacity but to me it is a little loose and while it does feel better it is just a little loose and a kind of a bother when aiming!

If you call S&W customer service, they will probably send you one for free...I called them to see where I could buy one for the M&P 45c I had just bought, and they said they would just mail it to me, no charge. (This was a few months ago, so I assume they still will.)

Also, I just saw that Midway has them for $1.99 so if you are ordering other stuff, you could get one from there...but if that is all you are ordering, you will pay more in shipping and handling that you will for the extension!

If you just want one, call S&W.

customer service sent me 2 last week. i told them that i had purchased 2 new mags from my dealer but that they didn't have any with the extension. i had the package from s&w in less than a week. great customer service on that one!

Same here. I have a 9c and a .40c, both of which came with two mags with finger extensions and one flat. I called S&W and asked for one, and within a week, I had two! Top notch service from S&W.
