Compact Scope for the S&W 15-22

This is a update to my original Post.
Today I went to the range with my
Ruger 10/22 w/Barska 6.5-20 Varmit scope. This is the first time I shot the combo at 100 yds. (just recently got the scope).
In order to see the bullet holes on the target, I had to turn the power up to 20x.
So with that in mind, I'm still going with the Compact UTG and buying a spoting scope.

That is why I use a spotting scope. Can hardly make out .223 holes at 100 yards with my 4.5-14x44 tactical scope.

Be sure to use Loctite blue thread locker (if your not already) without it
they can get loose and cause your zero to be off. Just a suggestion.

At Walmart; CenterPoint 4 X 16 40 AO. Imported and backed by Crossman. Excellent optic for the price, holds zero and repeatable. Hard to beat at $69.00, includes mounts and covers.......best regards Plum

I have personally been looking into this. It seems rather promising for the price.

Why can't I find something like this in the $300-$400 range (for my Colt AR)? Seems like they go from cheap to high dollar Trijicons.

You might check out the Burris AR-332 3x scope and the Burris AR-536 5x scope on opticsplanet.com I think the AR-332 3x is $329 shipped and the AR-536 5x is $399 shipped.

I suggest looking into this for the AR.

I think it has a rather secure hold onto the rail and even trying to muscle it around, it doesn't budge.

I am only using it on my 22lr, but I think it can definitely handle more. Within the reviews on Amazon, it has a comment from someone that purchased one for their AR and they impressed with it.

Only gripe about it I have is that the light on the reticule is too bright that when using it without good ambient light will cause the whole lens to flare green/red. Aside from that, I rather just keep them off all together as the lines are easy to see in day or night.
