Company Wants To Sell FAKE Guns To Those Who Wish To APPEAR To Be Armed

Wearing a fake pistol??? What could go wrong with that? That wouldn't be the same company that makes police like badges for CCW?

Been thinking about this a bit. Some guy I've never seen before shows up wearing what appears to be a handgun in a holster, makes a move that leads me to believe that he is about to draw and fire, what should I do?

I think I know what might happen next.

Little boys and little girls used to play "Show me yours and I'll show you mine". I'm not a little boy anymore and I've never been a little girl. I think I will let these folks go forward with their ridiculous business plan with no participation on my part (at least I hope for that).

I'm going to assume these guns are going to be a light weight plastic to make them easier to carry and cheaper to manufacture.

Why not just buy an airsoft gun? Theyre pretty dang realistic and atleast theyll shoot something

About 30 or so years ago a security guard in Boston had a replica gun instead of a real one. He was walking as store manager to make a bank deposit when a bad guy held them up. The guard reached for his fake gun and the robber killed him with his real gun.

I think there is actually a law on the books now forbidding security officers from using replica guns.

In the pantheon of dumb ideas, this one rates right up there.

Good way to get shot to death.

Fake stuff's worked before, though. Anyone remember fake CB and cell phone antennas for cars? And there used to be quite a few replica guns on the market years ago. People would buy them as decorative accessories. SAAs, Thompson submachine guns, GI .45s, etc.

But this is just the wrong century for fake guns now.

I remember about 35 years ago, one of my black friends showed up one night wearing a "Holdster", a wallet carrier that looked just like a shoulder holster! I told him it was a guick way to get shot if he wore it back in Chicago where he was from! We were stationed in Germany at the time. I suspect that idea had a very short life span.

Maybe that's the intent?

I looked over the website and at first I thought it was an Onion article. The site gives me the impression that it and the product were conceived by someone who isn't familiar with guns, self-defense, or open carry.

I frequently open carry, and did so daily when I lived in downtown Tacoma WA (the most crime infested city in the PNW). I witnessed how open carry deterred a crime against me, however, I was also prepared to back it up with lead if need be. That product is too stupid to be real.

How ******* stupid!!!!!!!! The idiot who came up with this idea thinks criminals who will willingly attack uniformed police officers which they know are carrying REAL guns are going to be intimidated by the sight of "Casper Milquetoast" carrying a toy!!!!! What a moron!

Everyone should go to their web site! Reading it will make your stomach crawl!!!!!!!!!!!!!
