A bill has been proposed in the US Congress that could bring down the entire pet industry and severely limit the freedom of private citizens to keep exotic animals as pets. HR669 is supposedly a response to exotics problems in Guam, Florida, and elsewhere. It is really the implementation of the agenda of PETA, the Humane Society of the United States, and other radical special interest groups. The goal of these organizations is to ban exotics and, indeed, all pets. HR669 accomplishes this goal by bringing an end to the pet industry as we know it, making criminals of those who take their pets across state lines or allow them to breed. The dire economic impacts of this legislation will be felt by millions of people who supply or are employed by the pet industry. HR669 is supported 100% along party lines, with Democrats supporting it and Republicans opposing it. The Ranking Republican on the House Subcommitee reviewing this bill has expressed his support for the reptile keepers, but HR669 will pass unless some Democrats oppose it. We must act now!

I'm only on my first half cup of coffee this morning so let me see if I have this straight.

H.R. 669:
111th Congress 2009-2010 Nonnative Wildlife Invasion Prevention Act

To prevent the introduction and establishment of nonnative wildlife species that negatively impact the economy, environment, or other animal species' or human health, and for other purposes.

But this doesn't apply to illegal human aliens??

What's wrong with this picture?

Or maybe you guys think only guns are popular?

There needs to be a law to shutdown the Reptile Show loophole.

They can have my pets if they can pry them from my old, worn out couch.
