Considering 2.0 in .45 Advice?

The M&P Shield 45, Had the same MSRP, as the Shield 45 2.0. $479.

My understanding is the Shield 45 is, in essence, the exact same gun as the Shield 45s labeled with 2.0 on the slide. I'm not asserting that as fact; rather, that it is my understanding. Can anybody here confirm that? Thanks in advance.

This thread still brings up a point I'd like clarified. Is there any difference between the Shield 45, and the Shield 45 2.0; Other than the 2.0 stamping on the slide?
