Too bad the grip is not long enough for the magazine (and a damned little black bug landed on the right grip for the photo). This is the best arrangement I’ve tried with the Pachmayr/Peters Stahl .22LR Target Conversion, so far. Previously, a Model 3906 grip was found to be too long for the magazine, which was about an eighth inch short of locking into place. And, a Model 39-2 just couldn’t be coaxed into to working with it. Maybe I’ll need to try a Model 52, or just settle for the way it is now.

I like it a lot, even with the "extended" magazine, the Peter's Stahl looks like it grew there!

I'm a big fan of .22LR conversions and have several. I never knew that anybody made one for S&Ws. Cool!

As am I. My Marvel conversion for 1911 performs exceptionally well (as guaranteed by the maker), when shot over sand bags:

But, I suspect this manufacturer’s test group was shot with my conversion mounted on/in some sort of machine rest.
