Copyright Lawsuits Update

Thanks! Looks like basically good news. I hope this backfires on the newspaper suing, once cases begin to hit the courts.

The LVRJ and Citibank are two for a pair. I would not take a whiz over either of their buildings even if they were on fire.:p

This does seem to me like something that Citibank might think of. Is there actually any connection between them?

Your buildings on fire comment reminds me that Marcus Licinius Crassus made a lot of his real estate money by hiring arsonists to burn buildings, which he'd then buy for a pennies on the dollar amount for the land. I suppose there's always been no limit to what some people will do in the name of free enterprise.

If you can't place Crassus, he was the Roman general who defeated the slave revolt led by Spartacus. But his business rep was in the uh, water closet. ;)

No connection. But Citibank auctioned off a house (for $90k!!!) Tuesday that they were supposed to be still helping the owner save. Why does this make me so PO'd? The guy has cancer and was doing everything to get his loan modified. The bank did not even TELL HIM it was going to auction. They claim there has been "an internal miscommunication" that brought about this situation. Yeah, and all my pigs are fed and ready to fly.

Which is why Citibank is on my list of companies that I will walk barefoot across 100 yards of broken glass for a chance to bend them over the lick log and put the wood to them. Others on the list include Countrywide-gone- Greentree-gone-WaMu-gone-Don't get me wrong, I embrace capitolism, but some of these robber barron companies have so far crossed the line.....
