I've been with Comcast and its predecessors since they first came to this town, originally for picture quality and more choices. My cousin worked for them and explained to me how to take the ground wire off the chassis and then watch every channel available free, which lasted until they went digital, I miss those analog days.
After I retired the prices kept creeping upward, I went into their office and told them I was going to try something else if they didn't give me the same deal they give a new sign-up customer. They did but wanted me to sign a yearly agreement, easy enough. Since then every year on our T.V. anniversary I walk into the office , give them my spiel and get my reduction. Last October (T.V.A.) the young man told me that sooner or later I was going to have to pay the full price. I politely told him that when that day comes I will truthfully leave and do what at least 50% of the people I know do and get everything streaming.
First I have to break down and get a cell-phone.
