I went to that show yesterday and saw a lot of S&W stuff you S&W fans wouldlike. Imnot keen on prices foor this stuff but saw stuff ranged between $300-to-$bout $800 for various guns.

Someone in another thread mention availablility of reloading supplies. Tons of it aat this show.

I saw at least one big ammo seller who though--still over-priced--but had a sign out that said he was willing to make "deals" on .22.Hmmm,do I see a chink in the sellers armor for .22? possibly the start of the hawkers selling while they can still make huge profits(but not from me) jut from the uneducated....

I did find a seller who had great deals on minimag stuff and I bought 200 rouunds.. One pack that was common to see fro sale at the show--was the 100 rd box. I saw those still priced between 16 (low end to $50--high ebd--for 100 rounds. When Academy has them here--they are $7.5 per 100 rd box--so no thanks to the other prices. Oh and BTW--that $16 for 100--was the low p-rice I saw on them after I bought my 200 rounds-for less than $20.

One seller who thought I was a customer--(I was actually just waiting for the isle hogs to move so I culd go to Dr. Kommissarovs table to make a deal.Anyway, while I was stuck waiting for the 3--car baby stroller and said rest of the family--to pass me by so I could mocve--I scanned this guys prices. He wanted $50--for a 100 rd Winchester white box) 9mmammo.He was grinning from ear to ear like a baboon at the thought of suckering me into making him a hefty profit. He said he would sell methem for $45 a box if I bought two?I said--I can get all I want fromWalMart--any day of the week--same stuff--for 2 boxes--for less than $60. His SE grin went to a looklike he swallowed a bottle of sour grape juice and said: "Well,I HAVE to make a profit. I said: Not from me--have a nice day.

Anyway, still lots of carp at the show but--saw some rarities too. I didnt have enough money to spare--or I could ahve come away with a minty 1943 Tula made Nagant with Hex barrell. Nothing at all wrong with this rifle. Asking as $75, but I didnt have the cash. Oh well.

anyway, ammo sellers were NOT--haveing nice days at their prices. I saw one guy witha brisk of .22--stopped by a seller who said he would pay him $45 for that brick. The guy asked what the prices wer for his on the tqbke--was told $160. Guy with ammo walked away laughing....

I did see prices lowering on many weapons ofmy liking at many tables. However, some few dealers are stuck on making a 200% profit. Well, providing my next deal goes through in Januarys show? I should be cominig away with at least 1 handgun and a rifle--likely a rodk soldi and all original Inland carbine for $1,100, and possibly another .45 and also possibly a Heritage Arms SAA .22 with 6 in barrel. Or a mixture of this stuff??? However, though the guy im trying to make my next deal with--has loads of money tospend on the types of stuffI want to sell--wasnt at this gun show but up at the one in Fort Worth--so was why no deal was made.

There were optics galore for sale--many with discounts on their wares. Loads ofnew guns and more older guns than I recall seeing at last show.
Something that almost made me have a heart attack on seeing pries for--were prices I saw on two WWII all correct Walther P-38s. One was an AC-43--the other a BYF 43. One was $1,100--the other was $1.650 :eek::eek::eek::eek:

I may have forgot to post other observations on stuff that I may have meant so--if anyone has any questions on stuff? ask me.

Criticizing no one, pointing no fingers, singling out no one. BUT, doesn't anyone proof read their posts? Is it dependence on "spell checker" , is it hurry , or are we as uneducated as it looks? I'm not trying to be the "English Cops" But, sometimes it is hard to figure the full meaning of a poorly written post.Slow down and communicate, don't speed up and obfuscate. I'm just saying. Nick

If I wanted to worry about Grammar, or sentence structure, or punctuation, or spelling I would post in an English Comprehension forum. However, this being a gun forum, I really don't think those things should matter much...as long as it is understandable...it is good.

I understood the post just fine, and appreciate the efffort it took to relay the information. I must admit though, I had to look up obfuscate.

I guess some people feel the need to demonstrate how much more intelligent they are than the common, public educated, sort.

Also, a couple of the sentences in you your post aren't properly spaced, and, you used the quotation marks incorrectly. I'm just saying. :)

YOU need to b more considerate! Alright?

I got this from the OPs post...

Guns had really low prices. I'd like to see what they were selling from $30 to 80 Could you mean $300 to $800? That would be more realistic but even then it sounds like good prices.

Ammo was way overpriced and sellers were pricing their stock as if they were rarities.

There was reloading stuff a plenty.

There were some good rare guns at the show.

Did I miss anything important? Thanks to RK for posting this info. It's great to hear about a gun show that isn't bogus from top to bottom. Maybe just from the knees on down.

Carl...I will be in Robstown for the January show, can you make it??? I have something I would like to give you.

Yessir, ill be there Ill be there hopefully by noon on Saturday. Ihave a little somehting to give to you too.

Heh heh,I do proof read but--some of my keys get stuck and I cant correct at the time.Sometimes I can come back later to correct if it saves? Im still on the tablet because the new lap top is still having issues. I cant even get the new laptop to let me access emails and such.

Does obfuscation make you go blind, or is that--never mind. :o :D

Ignorance at times, can be a blessed thing. :D

BTW, not that im coming up with more excuses? I used wifi at Dairy Queen yesterday and--it was colder inside than it was outside--and we just had a cold front blow through. I stayed as long as I could stand it--which was about 45 or so minutes.

I teach HS English ... believe me, there is a lot worse.

I had a bad reputation in Middle and Highschool--with a few teachers. They all agred that my handwriting looked like and called it: Chicken-scratch. I hafve a friend in another city--whose writing makes mine look like aprofessional person wrote it. His is so bad that usually he cant even read his.Mine is still bad these days--but mostly due to having the essential tremors problem I have.
