I went to that show yesterday and saw a lot of S&W stuff you S&W fans wouldlike. Imnot keen on prices foor this stuff but saw stuff ranged between $300-to-$bout $800 for various guns.
Someone in another thread mention availablility of reloading supplies. Tons of it aat this show.
I saw at least one big ammo seller who though--still over-priced--but had a sign out that said he was willing to make "deals" on .22.Hmmm,do I see a chink in the sellers armor for .22? possibly the start of the hawkers selling while they can still make huge profits(but not from me) jut from the uneducated....
I did find a seller who had great deals on minimag stuff and I bought 200 rouunds.. One pack that was common to see fro sale at the show--was the 100 rd box. I saw those still priced between 16 (low end to $50--high ebd--for 100 rounds. When Academy has them here--they are $7.5 per 100 rd box--so no thanks to the other prices. Oh and BTW--that $16 for 100--was the low p-rice I saw on them after I bought my 200 rounds-for less than $20.
One seller who thought I was a customer--(I was actually just waiting for the isle hogs to move so I culd go to Dr. Kommissarovs table to make a deal.Anyway, while I was stuck waiting for the 3--car baby stroller and said rest of the family--to pass me by so I could mocve--I scanned this guys prices. He wanted $50--for a 100 rd Winchester white box) 9mmammo.He was grinning from ear to ear like a baboon at the thought of suckering me into making him a hefty profit. He said he would sell methem for $45 a box if I bought two?I said--I can get all I want fromWalMart--any day of the week--same stuff--for 2 boxes--for less than $60. His SE grin went to a looklike he swallowed a bottle of sour grape juice and said: "Well,I HAVE to make a profit. I said: Not from me--have a nice day.
Anyway, still lots of carp at the show but--saw some rarities too. I didnt have enough money to spare--or I could ahve come away with a minty 1943 Tula made Nagant with Hex barrell. Nothing at all wrong with this rifle. Asking as $75, but I didnt have the cash. Oh well.
anyway, ammo sellers were NOT--haveing nice days at their prices. I saw one guy witha brisk of .22--stopped by a seller who said he would pay him $45 for that brick. The guy asked what the prices wer for his on the tqbke--was told $160. Guy with ammo walked away laughing....
I did see prices lowering on many weapons ofmy liking at many tables. However, some few dealers are stuck on making a 200% profit. Well, providing my next deal goes through in Januarys show? I should be cominig away with at least 1 handgun and a rifle--likely a rodk soldi and all original Inland carbine for $1,100, and possibly another .45 and also possibly a Heritage Arms SAA .22 with 6 in barrel. Or a mixture of this stuff??? However, though the guy im trying to make my next deal with--has loads of money tospend on the types of stuffI want to sell--wasnt at this gun show but up at the one in Fort Worth--so was why no deal was made.
There were optics galore for sale--many with discounts on their wares. Loads ofnew guns and more older guns than I recall seeing at last show.
Something that almost made me have a heart attack on seeing pries for--were prices I saw on two WWII all correct Walther P-38s. One was an AC-43--the other a BYF 43. One was $1,100--the other was $1.650

I may have forgot to post other observations on stuff that I may have meant so--if anyone has any questions on stuff? ask me.
