Guns had really low prices. I'd like to see what they were selling from $30 to 80 Could you mean $300 to $800? That would be more realistic but even then it sounds like good prices.

Ammo was way overpriced and sellers were pricing their stock as if they were rarities.

There was reloading stuff a plenty.

There were some good rare guns at the show.

Did I miss anything important? Thanks to RK for posting this info. It's great to hear about a gun show that isn't bogus from top to bottom. Maybe just from the knees on down.

Hehheh, that was one of the problems I had when typing--i couldnt edit in the extra 0s for the gun prices. I got back in today, and could finally edit the extra numbers in. Today im having spacing problems.

Heh heh, quite welcome. The best things I came away with this time--he 200 rounds of ammo-two new t-shirts, some food stuff, and the guy who bought that rar type Nagant--is thinking of selling it to me at the next show--but has yet todecide on if he wants to keep it or not?

I forgot, someone even had a captured Tokerov which was up for sale.He was a Vietnam vet who originally captured the weapon from the NV officer he killed during Operation Ripcord. He was a 101st Screaming Eagles gent;-))I dont remember asking price but--he is getting out of guns exceptfor personal protection--so wants to sell.

Ya no.. we's begun at a shootin shows and ended in a speilllning classrum..

Talk about thread drift..

Thanks for the report.. :)

Thank you sir and, tablet is doing slightly better today. Not sure how many keys will stick on it today. My space bar is sticking now....

Ignorance at times, can be a blessed thing. :D

BTW, not that im coming up with more excuses? I used wifi at Dairy Queen yesterday and--it was colder inside than it was outside--and we just had a cold front blow through. I stayed as long as I could stand it--which was about 45 or so minutes.

Ringo, look close for the 43 Tula hex when you go back. If it really is an unaltered 43 Tula hex it is a steal at that price.

I had to double-check if I was on the Ruger Forum or not.

I had no problem understanding==just squint and read it twice. Moving your lips helps, also. If that fails, get your (young) child to translate.

Hi Walnut--I did. The guy who bought it already had it apart when i saw it and it had the cleanest bore ive ever seen on a vintage rifle. It had one blemish on a metal part near the trigger guard--which doesnt bother me at all.Im hoping he decides not to keep it--id love having that added to the collection. I think he said those Tulas did go for much more--but I forget what he said it could go for? This guy always makes me great deals and was willing to let it go for $75. The guy who sold it also sold him a Turkish Mauser---which I passed on but--that guy only needed enough money to cover a gun he was buying at another stall--who didnt need his rifles. This rifle also had a great touched with finish too. I wanted this one badly--as I see ammo for it all over the place here in town.

Ringo, Tula stopped making Hex receivers in 1936 and Izhevesk in 1935. So a 43 Hex anything means it was on a recycled receiver. In 41 Tula switched production from Mosins to STV40s and ATV40s, among other things. Many speculate the remaining 91/30 parts were transferred to Izhevesk and the post 41 Tulas were assembled there. So a 43 Hex Tula would be a welcome addition to any Mosin collection.

Thank you and,I had not known they stopped making them so long before?I did think it wierd one was stamped 43--. Ill also pass this along to the gent who bought it. He might not have as much info?;-)) The only Nagants I ever pawed before--were well over 20 years earlier--and were the type you could get 10 to a crate from Sarco--for $200. Those were usually "ugly" rifles but good shooters.:-))

Going to a gunshow in Portland Oregun next weekend, will give an over view when I get back. Around here you can buy all the 22lr you want off the net but the prices are really high. The local store I bought from most of my life hasn't had 22lr stocked on the shelves for over 2 years. Thankfully they have most other calibers available.

I am not sure if there is a problem with the written word or whether it is just that sometimes when something is stated the author just doesn't take the time to go through all the necessary steps that might be required when the words appear in a different format than the way that things might have been required before there is time to check for any spelling issues or other grammar situations that occur during the same timeframe.

I am sure that it becomes obvious to some while others might see things could be stated in a way that the confusion that once existed might be lessened at another occurence.

Thats all I can say on the subject. :D

That was some seriously obtuse obfuscation. :)

We met our daughter 1/2 way between our houses to drop off our granddaughter. Same thing, it was colder than witch parts outside and colder inside the DQ. Folks were eating with their coats on. We asked them to turn up the thermostat. By that time our food was frozen and we were done.
