I just picked up a model 19-5 with a 2 1/2" barrel. I'd like to get the correct style of Magna grips for it, and was wondering if someone could help me with this. While looking at factory Magna grips, I've noticed two variations; one seems a little more rounded, and the checkered area seems larger. The other style has a smaller checkered area, and the corners of the checkered area seem more squared off.
My 19-5 was made in 1983, and I was wondering if anyone knows which style of Magna grip might have come with this gun during this period?
