Or…asking my enablers…Lol

I found this 4” 29-3 locally. It’s mechanically sound and hasn’t been shot a lot. No end shake, no push off, almost indiscernible flame cut on top strap, and not too bad of a turn line. Some faint blueing wear at muzzle from holstering. I’ll call it a high condition shooter and put it at about 90%. It has the original box with paperwork and tools. Born on date is Sept 12, 1984 from special order code. I don’t presently own anything in .44 Mag, but have several hundred rounds of .44 Mag and Special on hand that I had loaded for revolvers that I’ve since sold.

He is asking $1295, but said he could come down to $1200. I’m pretty sure it’s a good price, but wanted some outside input on it. I’ve owned four 629’s in different barrel lengths, but no 29’s.

Edit to add: as was pointed out to me by Hair Trigger, the Model 29 is a dash 3. It was advertised as a dash 2, and I didn’t connect the triple alpha s/n with the -3 as I should have. Makes it quite a bit less desirable to me and I think I’ll pass on this deal. Thanks for everyone’s input.

Depending on the condition of the gun, i would say that is a fair price for a pre lock pre mim 29, 4”. I have not seen pics but if it is 90%. You are doing good for a shooter!

I think 95% would be a stretch…I’m calling it about 90%, but that’s pretty subjective, depending on who you ask.

I'm sure that one pic of the revolver does not tell the whole story, but what little I can see indicates in has been used very little. Considering it has its box and especially if the manual is in the box, it's worth every bit of $1200 in today's inflationary market.
