I have a silly question that I'm having a hard time coming to grips with. Is there anyone out there who has or who could make a threaded barrel for a 3rd gen. Seriously, I would consider buying the gun around the availability of a threaded barrel. I know it's a goofy desire for a gun that has been out of production for two decades +, but hey - I have to ask...

The problem I see here is the third generation barrels are designed with that bulge at the muzzle to fit the fixed bushing used in this iteration. It would be simpler to make such an application on a Gen 2 gun with the straight sided muzzle and removable bushing.

Bar Sto made some long barrels For the Gen 1 &2 guns IIRC, but they are no longer doing so. Some might still be out there though.

I know of a gunsmith in the Vancouver BC area that converts 3rd gen pistols to a longer barrel and he can thread them. However he is notoriously slow and I gave up on him converting a pistol for me after more than six months waiting. How he stays in business is beyond me. If you want his info send me a PM. Not sure if you'd be able to get it done due to the border.
