Quick version: it's a bigger version of the Evoque I had before.

The drivetrain is identical, as are the major controls. The interior is cheaper and with more hard plastics. It is a much more practical vehicle than the Evoque, having real space in the rear seats and in the cargo area.

It is heavier than the Evoque so it uses more gas, but the longer wheelbase improves the ride. Otherwise, it drives the same but is easier to see out of. That's all I got. ;)

The Evoque and the Discovery Sport were loaners during the 5+ months the XJ was under repair. The dealership deals in Jaguars, Land Rovers and Range Rovers. I dumped the XJ after all the drama and multiple times it was dismantled.

But how does it do in the MUD?:D

One thing I forgot to mention about the Disco was that, once again, I was given a loaner with vastly over inflated tires, over 45 psi. When I got it home it was clear that the contact patch at the rear was similar to that for young girl wearing stilettos. Give that girl a couple of drinks and that's how well the SUV handled on those tires too. The back end was all over the place.;)

Another minor issue was that the trip meter told whoppers about the fuel consumption. When it claimed an average of 25 mpg over 300 miles, filling the tank gave about 22.5. About a 10% error, which is insane given how closely engines are monitored these days.
