Hi all. Been a while since I've been on the forum. I didn't find anything on the search function, so I thought I'd post the question here.

I've been cancelling some credit cards because of the recent positions that major banks have been taking regarding the 2nd, and need some new ones for mail order, auction sites, etc.

Does anyone have suggestions for any pro 2A cards? I've heard that Chase is pro 2A, but can't seem to find anything concrete to verify that.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Might want to check the NRA website. Probably a few credit card offers for members, probably from financial institutions that know what they are doing.

I've had good luck with my USAA Visa. 1% cash back on all purchases. Which is better than nothing. To qualify you have to be a vet, or had a parent that was a vet.

Just applied for a Fidelity Visa, but haven't received it yet. They give 2% back. To qualify you have to have a Fidelity brokerage account.

These cash back programs seem like chump change, but between my wife and I we will put over $25,000 on plastic every year, and that cash back adds up. Pay the balance in full every month, so it cost us nothing.

I know there was a row with First National Bank of Omaha when they announced dropping NRA. I've waited to see what happens and my new card came in a few weeks ago and still says NRA. If they still get % I'll stick with it for now.

My father in law has a Sams Club card and I know you get 5% back on gas , I don't know the rest . He puts everything on it and gets some nice rebate checks . We have a Amazon Prime visa , and they have some good rebates .

Visa through our Credit Union....

I HATE banks and I hope I never have to deal with one again or their crummy 25% cards. Not too many people around here are anti gun.

Another thing that pees me off about banks is that they do everything in their power to force fees on you. One, took out all of the withdrawals, charged you a hefty fee, then added in the deposits.

Thanks for the suggestions. Yes, I'm an NRA member, but haven't been able to get through on the 800 line.

I'm not concerned with cash back programs, since I don't use it that much - mostly for mail order and situations where a credit card must be used.

I'm mostly looking for any card / bank that is not anti 2A.

Cancelling card accounts may put a ding on your FICO score temporarily. You do more damage to the companies by letting the account stay idle and not using it. They still have monthly processing costs on your account they have to bear, albeit not very much.

I stopped using my USAA credit card when they refused to end their relationship with the NFL. If they don't respect the National Anthem, I don't respect them. I do business with a local credit union. I don't know their position on the 2A but I'd rather support a local business over a big bank.

I have a Costco Executive Visa card that pays me 4% back on Gasoline, 3% on restaurants, 2% on Costco purchases and 1% on everything else. At the end of the year they send me well over $1200 - $1500 bucks which I can spend any way I want. It's the best card I know of - at least for me.

Thanks for the suggestions folks.

I talked to Chase/JP Morgan, and they will not reveal their position on the 2A. I went as high up as I could get, and the rep said they've been instructed to "receive" feedback only, and not to discuss their position. So I informed him that based on that, I'd decline to do business with them.

I do have a Capital One card already ... and a couple of Bank of America cards that I'm going to stop using.

I couldn't get through to anyone at the NRA 800 number Fri. I was on hold and didn't have time to wait. Will try them again this week.

Will update.
