Before I replace the well used Crimson Trace "105" grips on my 342PD I need to ask if anyone know's of a replacement activation button, or know of anyone that can repair laser grips that are out of warranty. Once the warranty is up the folks at C.T. will offer you a 50% discount to trade them in, but no help on a possible repair or make a suggestion on who might be able to repair them.
FYI, the laser still lights up but only when the button is depressed at a certain angle, and even then, not all the time..... nothing I can depend on.
I realize they should be replaced but the timing is not good.
Thanks

This guy had a similar sounding switch problem and came up a fix that might apply to your grip.
Good luck.

I guess I can forget repairing them, this is the message that I just received from them in case anyone else is interested:

"Unfortunately there isn't any way to repair it. The activation button is part of the grip mold so once it goes bad the whole grip has to be replaced."

Package it up and send it to them. The worst thing that could happen is they will tell you no again. They are close by to me and twice I have walked in with a problem expecting to return after they were repaired. Both times I have been pleasantly surprised and walked out with brand new in the box replacements.
